History
Until 1929, the current Beau-Rivage Hotel building was an elegant manor house, the residence of wealthy industrialist Alfred Borel, an influential figure in the city of Neuchâtel.
In 1989, the historic building was acquired by the Beaufort International hotel chain. After extensive renovation work, the hotel reopened in October 1993, with a sumptuously refurbished interior by renowned Paris-based American decorator Ed Tuttle.
Three years later, in 1996, the Beau-Rivage public limited company took over the establishment.
In 2004, Yves G. Piaget acquired the hotel and, in 2010, entrusted its management to Mr. Thomas Maechler from Zurich, who subsequently became the owner. At the end of 2021, the Beau-Rivage Hôtel came under the ownership of a Singaporean company.
In June 2022, Mr. Delfim Santos took over the management of the hotel, marking a new chapter in the history of this iconic establishment.

The hotel is recognized in the «La Suisse Gourmande» guide. The restaurant is "Fait Maison" certified, guaranteeing the quality and authenticity of dishes prepared on-site.
