History

Until 1929, the current Beau-Rivage Hotel building was an elegant manor house, the residence of wealthy industrialist Alfred Borel, an influential figure in the city of Neuchâtel.

In 1989, the historic building was acquired by the Beaufort International hotel chain. After extensive renovation work, the hotel reopened in October 1993, with a sumptuously refurbished interior by renowned Paris-based American decorator Ed Tuttle.

Three years later, in 1996, the Beau-Rivage public limited company took over the establishment.

In 2004, Yves G. Piaget acquired the hotel and, in 2010, entrusted its management to Mr. Thomas Maechler from Zurich, who subsequently became the owner. At the end of 2021, the Beau-Rivage Hôtel came under the ownership of a Singaporean company.

In June 2022, Mr. Delfim Santos took over the management of the hotel, marking a new chapter in the history of this iconic establishment.

The Beau-Rivage Hotel, managed by Mr. Santos Delfim, is a 5-star establishment located in the heart of Neuchâtel, directly on the lake. Offering a calm and refined setting, the hotel is open all year round to welcome guests in its 66 rooms, suites and junior suites.

L’hôtel est fier d’être membre de la prestigieuse association Relais & Châteaux. Il est également reconnu dans le Guide « La Suisse Gourmande ». En 2023, le restaurant de l’hôtel a été honoré de 15 points au Gault & Millau, soulignant l’excellence de sa cuisine. De plus, le restaurant est certifié Fait Maison, garantissant la qualité et l’authenticité des plats préparés sur place.
